SWOpti software
It takes care of everything, but gives you complete control of your installation and appliances.
SWOpti consists of a mini-PC, the SWOpti software itself, Homeseer (ultra-complete home automation software), current clamps, plug/socket modules or micromodules for the appliancess to be controlled/monitored, and a controller that communicates between SWOpti and these modules. No two SWOptis are the same! To find out the price of your SWOpti, download the "SWOpti Requirements Collection" PDF, fill it out, and return it to SWOpti. Note that you will receive a €50 discount on the price of your SWOpti if you purchase solar panels at the same time.
Here are the steps in detail:
1) You download, fill out and return the PDF to us.
2) We prepare a quote for you; you sign it to transform it into a purchase order.
3) You settle your SWOpti and we order the necessary components.
4) We manufacture your SWOpti and you will receive it by post against signature.
5) You plug in your SWOpti.
6) You install the clamps, plug/socket modules and micromodules.
This last step can only be done in your home. The clamps are placed around certain wires in your electrical cabinet. The plug/socket modules are plugged into the relevant electrical outlet (for a washing machine, for example). The micromodules must be installed, depending on your installation, in the electrical cabinet like circuit breakers (if the appliance in question is "alone on its circuit") or "on the appliance side" otherwise. You will receive detailed instructions for installing these elements. If you are not familiar with the terms "circuit breaker, live wire, and neutral wire," you can call on someone else to install these elements (a handy family member, neighbor, or an electrician). 94% of customers install these elements themselves and 6% call on an electrician or home automation engineer.

Calculate your time for return on investment
If you already have solar panels/wind turbines, you've probably calculated the payback time. This calculation can take many things into account, but essentially you need to take the total cost of your investment and divide it by the amount of savings per year that this investment allows you to make. The result is the number of years needed to "recoup" the investment. If you paid 10,000 euros for your panels and they save you 1,000 euros per year, you have a payback time of 10 years. With a SWOpti, you will save more money than initially planned. By calculating the payback time for just the SWOpti itself, and this is just an example, your SWOpti costs you 850 euros and this will allow you to make an additional 450 euros in savings per year. For SWOpti alone, 850 / 450 = 1.8 years. Combined with your investment in panels: (10,000 + 850) / (1,000 + 450) = 7.48 years. So you can recoup your initial investment faster by adding a SWOpti.
